Amanda Oleander

Amanda Oleander is an author-illustrator celebrated for her art and storytelling.

Oleander gained widespread recognition for her popular series of over 800 illustrations that delve into the intricacies of the human experience and the profound connections that bind us. Her art has been featured by Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, and TEDx.

Amanda's passion for art and storytelling began since she could first hold a pencil. Her love for children's literature blossomed during grade school, where she dreamed of becoming an author. As a child, she filled the blank pages of her Shel Silverstein books with illustrations and poems and spent countless nights and weekends writing and illustrating stories. In 2021, as she anticipated the arrival of her son, Amanda experienced a resurgence of inspiration and began creating stories for him. She believes that art created from genuine personal moments carries an inherent magic and soul.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Amanda earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Today, Amanda celebrates a decade of being a full time artist working from her home studio in Los Angeles, CA. With the support of an online community of over 1.1 million and artwork that has been shipped to over 100 countries, and carried locally in bookstores and shops Amanda Oleander’s work continues to touch people around the world.
